Aprčs un tournoi mouvementé ā Wimbledon,Robin retrouve son chez lui en Sučde pour le tournoi de Bastad,oų il avait atteint le stade des demi finales en 2004.Cette année,Robin est tęte de série numéro 7 et affronteau premier tour l'italien Simone Bolelli.Ce fut un match net et sans bavure remporté en deux sets 6/3-6/3 aprčs avoir ét mano a mano plusieurs jeux.

match acharné contre Fernando Verdasco mais Robin s'en est sorti en trois sets.A noter un tie break dans la derničre manche.

Deception pour Robin chez lui lors de son match contre Moya.Le suédois n'a pas fait long feu et perd ce match en deux petits sets seulement 6/2 6/4.

After the eventfull Wimbledon, traditionaly Robin is taking on another clay tournemant - his home Swedish Open. He had success there in the previous years, including a semifinal in 2004. This year he is seeded seventh and will start against Simone Bolelli. He was challenged only in the beginning, but still managed to break midway through the opening set. From there on he had no problems to break twice more in the second set to set-up a match against Thomas Johansson.

The second round was more tough as Soderling had to overcome the claycourt specialist Fernando Verdasco. The Swede went ahead early in the opening set before serving it comfortably out. But in the second his serve was not so steady and he got broken three times, last one when he was serving to stay in the set. Verdasco won 7-5 and leveled the match.
He also broke Robin in the beginning of the third set, bit this time Soderling broke back and held serve until the end of the set. In the decisive tiebreak the Swede went ahead and even though Verdasco leveled at 4-4, Robin got to a 7-4 win and a place in the quarterfinals in Bastad for third time in his career.

Not so close loss to Moya
Soderling lost the quarterfinal in Bastad to Carlos Moya in straight sets today. He didn't serve well enough and was unable to save any of the three breakpoints he faced. On the other side the Spaniard defended well and saved all five chances for break for Robin.

För första gången sedan 2003 är tre svenskar klara för den andra gången i Catella Swedish Open. Detta sedan Jonas Björkman och Robin Söderling gjort Thomas Johansson sällskap till den andra rundan.
I den sista matchen på centercourten kunde Robin Söderling avfärda den unge italienaren Simone Bolelli utan nämnvärda problem. Robin såg stark ut och styrde spelet med sitt tunga baslinjeartilleri, men var själv ändå inte riktigt nöjd.
- Jag vann, men det fanns inte så mycket mer att vara nöjd med idag. Jag var dålig, men han var som tur var ännu sämre. Jag tycker annars att jag spelade mycket bra i Wimbledon, vilket gav mig självförtroende, kommenterade den 26-rankade svensken.

Johansson och Söderling mot rutinerade spanjorer
Under onsdagen föll Jonas Björkman mot spanjoren Nicolas Almagro. På torsdagen ska Thomas Johansson och Robin Söderling försöka ta revansch mot rutinerat spanskt motstånd. Johansson ställs mot Carlos Moya, medan Söderling ger sig i kast med Fernando Verdasco.
Robin Söderling ställs mot den vänsterhänte Madridsonen Fernando Verdasco. I deras enda tidigare möte på grus i Franska Öppna 2005 lyckades Söderling vända 0-2 i set till slutlig seger.
- Om jag ska kunna slå Verdasco måste jag spela mycket bättre än mot Bolelli i den första omgången. Det känns som att jag kan slå alla som är kvar i tävlingen, men jag kan också förlora mot alla, kommenterar Söderling, som ifjol avancerade till kvartsfinal i Catella Swedish Open.
I torsdagens första match på centercourten möter andraseedade David Ferrer olympiamästaren Nicolas Massu. Kvällen avslutas med två högintressanta svenska dubbelmöten. Titelförsvarande Jonas Björkman/Thomas Johansson tar sig an Filip Prpic/Michael Ryderstedt och som avslutning ställs förstaseedade Simon Aspelin/Julian Knowle mot Johan Brunström/Robin Söderling.

Robin and Nadal's polemic

Bon soyons clairs,que pensez-vous de ce qu'a fait Robin?

Ayant vu la vidéo,lu les interviews,je trouve que c'et un peu exagéré de dire que Robin est un mauvais joueur.Quand męme...C'est un peu abusé,si on en put męme pas blaguer maintenant je trouve ca un peu osé...

Aprčs des jours et des jours de bataille,n'était ce pas pour se relacher un peu?Est ce si grave d'imiter pour s'amuser Rafael Nadal,surtout lorque sous la pluie il faut encore l'attendre?je précise que j'aime beaucoup Rafa qui est quelqu'un d'adorable mais il n'est pas parfait męme s'il est tout d męme respecteux.

La tension ca existe!je ne le sais que trop bien.

Aprčs un match difficile, débuté lundi, interrompu ā cinq reprises par la pluie et terminé sur trois jours, Rafael Nadal a finalement conclut la partie ā son avantage, 7/5 dans le dernier set, face ā Robin Soderling. Entre les deux joueurs, la partie ne s'est pas bien déroulée, Robin Soderling singeant Rafael Nadal, ne s'excusant pas sur les balles let et serrant ā peine la main de l'espagnol ā la fin du match.

Q : Comment vous sentez-vous aprčs ce marathon ?
Je suis trčs content, trčs content de la victoire, trčs content d'avoir fini le match. C'est la seule chose qui compte aujourd'hui.

Q : Les conditions étaient difficiles, typiques de Wimbledon
R : Ca n'avait jamais été comme cela. Je viens depuis... cinq ans peut ętre. Je ne me souviens pas de quelque chose comme cela. C'es sans doute le match le plus dur de ma carričre.

Q : Que pensez vous de l'attitude de Robin Soderling sur le court ?
R : Vraiment, la vérité, c'était pire que tout. Quand la balle prend le filet, il ne s'excuse jamais. Quand on a eu fini le match, serrer la main comme il l'a fait, en regardant ailleurs. Aprčs quatre heures de match, vous trouvez cela normal? Dans les vestiaires, pour les autres joueurs non plus, il n'est pas le plus sympathique.

Q : Etiez vous énervé qu'il se moque de vous en remettant son pantalon, et que toute la foule rigole ?
R : Moi, je pensais uniquement ā la victoire et au match. Je ne peux pas et ne veux pas ętre impliqué dans quelque chose de ce genre. Je n'y pense pas. La vérité c'est que ce n'est pas bien... pour lui. Masi tout le monde fait ce qu'il veut, n'est-ce pas ? A la fin, nous verrons bien ce qui arrivera ā la fin du voyage, non ?

Q : Hier, ils vous font jouer en second. Est-ce que cela vous a agacé qu'on ne vous programme pas en premier pour finir le match ?
R : Je comprends car le lundi, toute la journée, j'ai joué le match. J'ai compris l'organisation hier car ils ont mis un match plus tard. Mais il y a quand męme des choses que je ne comprends pas. Je ne comprends pas pourquoi on ne joue pas le dimanche. Le temps était bien meilleur. Je ne comprends pas qu'ils aient annulé toute les parties mardi [NDLR : toutes les parties ont été annulées ā 19h20 par l'organisation] alors qu'ā partir de 20h10 le soleil est revenu et qu'on aurait pu jouer une bonne heure encore. Je n'ai pas compris pourquoi ils nous font rentrer sur le court pour 15 minutes, alors qu'ils savent trčs bien qu'on ne va pas pouvoir jouer plus car ils ont des prévisions météo. C'est trčs dur pour les joueurs. Mais peut-ętre qu'ici ils ne s'intéressent pas vraiment aux joueurs.

Q : En quoi cette expérience sur ces derniers jours peut avoir un impact sur votre campagne ā Wimbledon ?
R : A mon avis, la chance de s'imposer des joueurs du bas de tableau est bien moins importante que celles des joueurs de haut de tableau. De l'autre côté, Roger est en vacances depuis la semaine derničre.

Q : Pensez-vous encore pouvoir gagner ?
R : Je pense que j'aurai un match trčs dur demain, et je ferais de mon mieux.


Interview de Robin Soderling.

Q : A quel point ce match était dur ?
R : Quatre heures de match, 7/5 dans le dernier set, c'était plutôt difficile. C'était spécial aussi avec toutes les interruptions, toute la pluie. C'était un match différent des autres.

Q : D'oų vient votre animosité envers Rafael Nadal ? Nadal a critiqué votre comportement, qu'en pensez-vous ?
R : C'est dur ā dire. C'est un bon joueur, c'est vraiment un trčs bon joueur. Je veux dire qu'il joue bien sur toutes les surfaces maintenant. Je pense que j'aurais pu servir un peu mieux aujourd'hui. Je n'ai pas mis autant de premičres que j'aurais eu besoin. J'ai eu ma chance ā 4/4, balle de break. Ce n'était pas mon jour aujourd'hui. Sur l'attitude, je pourrais en dire aussi, mais je ne le ferai pas. Je garde tout cela pour moi. C'était un match dur, trčs dur. C'est comme cela que sont les match durs. Je ne dis pas que je ne l'aime pas.

Q : Rafael Nadal disait qu'il tentait de vous dire bonjour, que vous ne répondiez jamais. Que les autres joueurs dans les vestiaires ne vous aiment pas beaucoup non plus .
R : Je ne dirais jamais cela de quelqu'un en conférence de presse. C'est ce qu'il dit. Je veux dire que je pourrais dire la męme chose. Je pourrais dire plein de choses négatives sur plein de gens, mais je ne le fais pas.

Q : Vous sembliez vous moquer de lui sur le cours. il est plutôt évident qu'il s'est passé quelque chose. Rafael semble l'avoir confirmé par ses propos.
R : OK, oui. Je veux dire que c'est de son côté, c'est ce qu'il dit. Je ne dirais jamais rien lā dessus ā la presse. Je ne parle jamais mal de quelqu'un ā la presse. Je veux dire, s'il se plaint que je ne lui dit jamais bonjour, qu'est-ce que je peux y faire ?

Q : Il se plaint aussi que vous ne vous excusiez jamais quand la balle prend le filet.
R : Il devait ętre d'humeur ā se plaindre, aujourd'hui, non ? Si mon adversaire a de la chance et ne s'excuse pas, je m'en moque. Pour moi, ce n'est pas un problčme. Pourquoi devrais-je m'excuser alors que je suis dans l'un des jours les plus heureux de ma vie ? Pourquoi devrais-je m'excuser ? Ce sont des idioties.

Q : Que pourriez-vous dire sur la relation entre vous deux ?
R : Je n'ai rien ā en dire. Je peux parler de lui en tant que joueur, mais je ne le connais pas en dehors du court.

Q : Auriez-vous préféré jouer dimanche ?
R : Pas vraiment. Je sais qu'ici on ne joue pas le premier dimanche. De toute faįon, il aurait aussi pu pleuvoir dimanche. Je savais que nous allions jouer lundi.

Q : Pourriez-vous nous dire ā quoi vous pensiez en l'imitant ?
R : Oh, c'était plutôt pour faire quelque chose de drôle, vous savez. Je veux dire qu'il a fallu que je l'attende. On en était au début du 5čme set. Avant cela, je pense que j'avais du l'attendre, on va dire... prčs de 200 fois ! A chaque point, il faut l'attendre. Il a du m'attendre une seule fois et il a commencé ā secouer la tęte et ā faire des trucs. Bon, peut ętre que je n'aurais pas du faire cela. Je ne suis pas en colčre contre lui plus que cela.

Q : Et que ressentez-vous les 200 fois qu'il ralentit le jeu ?
R : C'est dur. Je veux dire que la plupart des joueurs... non, tous les autres joueurs jouent plus vite que lui. C'est trčs différent. C'est comme cela qu'il joue contre tout le monde, donc..."



Robin imitating Rafa

Well what do u think about Robin's behaviour?Because I think it's a little exgerate to say that Robin is a bad looser,that he doesn't bear the defeats.Any fun in this circuit...

Is it so sily to imitate Rafa?perhaps because he's the 2nd best player of the world.But just for fun!?!Is it a crime to be different?What's so the problem with Robin?!Why everyone hates him?Perhaps you don't understand him.

It takes a lot to annoy Rafael Nadal but Robin Soderling has the knack.

After Nadal finally – finally – finished his third round match with the Swede, he was clearly delighted to have survived a four-day, five-set rain-spoiled epic. But that was all that pleased him after a match in which it was clear the two players had niggled each other.

A charming man, a stupendous tennis player and a true sportsman, he did not want to get involved in a spat with either his opponent or the tournament, but he was not a happy man.

He would not start the row, but if he was asked his opinion about Soderling's behaviour or about the way the matches have been scheduled around the rain delays, he would give it. He would say it with a smile, but he would not fudge the issue.

Soderling had clearly annoyed the Spaniard, imitating Nadal's twitches, tics and routines and then pumping his fist in delight on a lucky, fluked net cord rather than offering the customary apology.

So what did Nadal think of the Swede's on-court conduct?

"Maybe the worst possible," he said. It could be argued that the net cord apology is a meaningless gesture but, in Nadal's mind, it's clearly an important way of keeping things gentlemanly on court.

As for the handshake at the end, it was cursory to say the least, infuriating Nadal even more. "After four days, that's not normal, no?" he observed pointedly.

"In the locker room, for the other players, [he] is not the best guy in the locker room."

When Soderling heard about Nadal's post-match views, he was not impressed. The press conference was not the place to discuss such matters, he thought, and he tried to take the high moral ground.

"I would never say anything about that to the press," he harrumphed. "I'm never talking bad about anyone to the press."

As for the net cord issue, he said: "He must have been in his complaining mood today. If my opponent gets a lucky shot and he doesn't say sorry, I don't care. For me it's OK. Why should I say I'm sorry when it's the happiest moment of my life? Why should I say I'm sorry?"

When it came to making fun of Nadal's habits, Soderling thought he was being funny, although the Spaniard was obviously not amused. And for all that the Swede tried to make light of their disagreements, he was just as testy with Nadal for the slowness of the play as Nadal was with him for poking fun.

"It was more of a fun thing," Soderling explained. "I mean, I had to wait for him. It was at the start of the fifth set. I think I had to wait for him more than 200 times. Every point I had to wait for him. He had to wait for me one time. He's starting already shaking his head, doing these things. Maybe I shouldn't have done it. I'm not angry at him at all."

This was brewing up into a real scrap but Nadal did not want to fan the flames any further. But the very fact that the French Open champion had spoken out at all made everyone sit up and take notice. Nadal rarely complains, so he must have been really fuming deep down.

"For me, I just think about the victory and about the match," he said. "I can't and I don't want to be involved in something like this."

He was not done yet. Wimbledon came in for a polite pasting, too. Although he still thinks that tournament is "unbelievable", he cannot understand why the backlog of matches have been allowed to stack up. After all, it is not as if Wimbledon is unused to rain delays, he pointed out.

Firstly he was annoyed that, after being rained off court on Saturday and Monday, his match was only scheduled second on No. 1 Court yesterday, ultimately leading to another overnight suspension.

"And I didn't understand why we didn't play on Sunday. The weather was OK, so much better than yesterday, Monday and today, too.

"I didn't understand why they cancelled yesterday when at 8:10pm, the sunshine was here for one hour so we could have played one hour.

"That's very tough for the players. They don't think very much about the players here maybe."

Troisičme et avant dernier grand chelem de l'année,"Wimbly" arrive un peu dans la saison dans la mesure oų les joueurs auront eu peu bien trop peu de préparation sur la surface gazonnée du Lawn Tennis Club de Londres.

En guise de préparation,Robin n'a eu qu'un tournoi,Halle,afin de s'acclimater sur gazon et de retrouver la compétition aprčs sa courte absence dûe ā ses douleurs au cou.

Le tournoi se déroule cette année du 25 juin au 8 juillet 2007.

Et de nouveau Nadal!

Le tableau de Wimbledon n'a pas réservé beaucoup de surprises mais Robin rencontrera au premier tour le belge Olivier Rochus.Il pourrait en cas de victoire rencontrer le vainqueur du match opposant Jonathan Marray ā Sebastien Grosjean puis au troisičme tour un possible duel face ā Rafael Nadal.

Trčs bon match de premier tour pour Robin contre Oliv' Rochus que j'aime bien en plus=)
Trčs solide en fond de court et le service qui passe,rien ā signaler ā part ca.

Robin vient ā l'instant de gagner vs Sebastien Grosjean en 4sets!!!!Trop heureuse,je ne peux le cacher!lol!6-3, 3-6, 6-3, 6-2 net et sans bavure!!!j'adoreeeeeeee!Oh Robin tu es trop fort!lol!Désolée!

Robin Soderling n'a que peu tremblé face au francais Sebastien Grosjean et l'emporte en quatre sets sur le score de 6/3-3/6-6/3-6/2. Le deux fois demi-finaliste quitte donc la compétition au 2čme tour, sans avoir pu répondre totalement aux coups de son adversaire.

Robin Soderling rentre plus vite dans la partie que le franįais, qui perd rapidement son service et ne pourra plus faire la différence durant le premier set. Dans la seconde manche, aucun adversaire ne relâche la pression et c'est le franįais qui saisit le set en prenant le break au meilleur moment, alors que le suédois sert pour revenir ā quatre partout.

A un set partout, le tricolore aurait pu pousser la balance de son côté, mais Robin Soderling, rapidement rentré dans la 3čme manche, est plus réaliste. Il breake d'entrée, mčne 4/1 puis 5/2 avant de conclure le set exactement dans la męme configuration que dans la premičre manche.

Le dernier set n'est qu'une balade pour Robin Soderling, tout en puissance, qui s'envole et conclut le match ā 6/2, sans avoir frémi dans la derničre manche.

Le suédois, maintenant bien lancé dans la compétition, jouera Rafael Nadal au prochain tour, dans un match qui promet un beau spectacle.

Nadal: "Soderling est bizarre"

Non seulement Rafael Nadal est sorti fatigué de son interminable 3e tour ā Wimbledon, mais il n'a gučre apprécié l'attitude de son adversaire, Robin Soderling. "J'en ai parlé avec d'autres joueurs et personne ne dit du bien de lui", a expliqué le N.2 mondial mercredi.

Robin Soderling a eu sa chance face ā Rafael Nadal. Fébrile lors des moments-clés, le Suédois s'est incliné en cinq sets non sans avoir eu des occasions de prendre l'avantage dans la derničre manche. Il a visiblement perdu aussi une occasion de se faire un ami...

Ce que quelques observateurs ont noté pendant la rencontre,c 'est qu'au cours du troisičme set, Soderling aurait tenté d'imiter le tic de Nadal, qui se tire systématiquement son caleįon avant de servir. Mais cela n'est pas vraiment ce que le Majorquin reproche ā son adversaire du jour : "Lorsque je suis tombé assez lourdement, il ne s'est męme pas approché du filet pour voir comment įa allait. Quand il a gagné un point sur une balle net, il n'a pas dit pardon et ā la fin du match il m'a ā peine serré la main. Ce n'est pas le meilleur gars qu'on puisse rencontrer dans les vestiaires".

Nadal est "un peu fatigué"

Lā, on se rapproche plus du comportement anti-sportif. " C'est un type bizarre. J'ai dû le saluer six ou sept fois sur le circuit et il ne m'a jamais répondu. Il n'est pas comme įa seulement avec moi, mais avec les autres aussi. On a bien vu comment il s'est comporté sur terrain. J'en ai parlé avec d'autres joueurs et personne ne dit du bien de lui", a poursuivi Nadal. L'intéressé n'a pas commenté.

Robin Söderling besegrade Sebastian Grosjean med 3-1 i set. Åter igen spelade Robin stabilt, övertygande och allt för kraftfullt för sin mostståndare. Men, i nästa omgång krävs någonting aldeles extra då Rafael Nadal står för motståndet. Ifjol besegrade spanjoren Robin i första omgången i Paris.

- Det blåste lite mer idag och han servade inte riktigt bra som häromdagen. Men, han blev bara breakad en gång i matchen, i andra set då Grosjean var på gång lite. Men sammantaget spelade Robin bra, med tryck och satte press på hans andraserve, säger tränaren Peter Carlsson.

Hur lyder då segerreceptet mot fjolårsfinalisten Nadal?

- Ja, man vet egentligen vart man har honom. Han servar ganska likartat - mitt i rutan i forehandrutan, det mesta utåt i backhandrutan. Kan man täcka av det så har man chansen. Och självfallet måste man satsa på att slå till på hans andraserve, säger Carlsson.

Han varnar också för att försöka avgöra för snabbt.

- Robin måste serva riktigt bra och få mycket gratispoäng. Antingen direkt på serven eller sedan avgöra på förstaslaget. Men samtidigt gäller det att inte överslå, säger tränaren som tycker det är en öppen match.

- Med den form Robin är i nu så skall det bli riktigt intressant, avrundar han.

Wimbledon is the third grand slam of the year and arrives too quiclky because the players didn't have the possibility to prepare very well with just Halle,Queen's,Nottingham or 's-Hertogenbosch.

For his part,Robin had just Halle to prepare on this surface and come back to the competition.

He will plat at Wimbledon which take place at Lawn Tennis Club(25/06 to 08/07)

Robin's seeded 29th at Wimbledon. It's exactly his place in the entry list. He was overtook by Bjorkman (who leaped from 31th to get 20th seed), but overtook Volandri.
Too bad that he didn't make more from the grass seasons last years, and to get out of the last eight seeds. That was he can meet Federer, Roddick or Djokovic in the third round.
We can say that probably Nadal, Berdych, Davy and Gonzalez are the proffered leaders of a group for Robin in the draw. Murray is at 50-50 - he's local and strong, but has to handle tons of pressure and may not be fit enough.

And one more time in a Grand Slam tournament the first seed, Soderling can meet is Rafael Nadal. Today's Wimbledon draw put Robin in the bottom end of the draw. In the opening round he's up against against Olivier Rochus, then against the winner of the match between the wild-card Jonathan Marray and Sebastien Grosjean and in the third round against (probably) Nadal.

Great match played by Robin vs Rochus for the last match of the court 10.Very serious match with a great service.Nothing to say except that.Next match vs Grosjean.

The second round against the former semifinalist Grosjean was going to be tougher. Although Grosjean has a well below par season so far, he is still a formidable player. And on the grass a single break was deciding the sets. The first three sets went to the first server - the opening for Robin, the next for Grosjean and the third for the Swede with an early break. And unlike the Australian Open, Robin stepped-up into the fourth set to break twice and with a 6-2 to move to the third round against Nadal.

Some Nadal's words before the match:

Q. What do you know about your next opponent?
RAFAEL NADAL: Difficult player. Very difficult player. Big server. He play very aggressive to the baseline. He play very tough. The ball is going very, very fast. Well, is difficult. For sure is going to be difficult to have a break, break him. Yeah, need be very, very concentrate with my serve and have to wait the return, no?
Q. You have only met him on clay?
RAFAEL NADAL: Against him? Against him I just play against him on clay, first round of Roland Garros last year.

In the third round he met Nadal for the second time (after last year's Roland Garros). After a rain delay the match started with an early advantage for Soderling, but he didn't convert his breakpoint. He was serving well and lost only six points off his serve, but unfortunately, four of them were in one game and he was broken - enough to lose the opening set.
The Spaniard broke in the second as well, but this time Soderling fought back to level at 3-3. But that wasn't enough as he lost serve again and trailed 4-5 before the first rain-delay that interrupted the play.
After the play was resumed, Nadal served out the set and after making another break early in the third set, it was looking that he was heading for a straight set win. Robin broke back though, and then made another break to serve for the set. His nerves failed him on this attempt and the Swede was broken to 15 (double-faulting on the breakpoint) and Nadal took the set into tie-break. Soderling trailed in the beginning, fought back to have a set-point on serve. He made two successive errors then and Nadal got to his match-point. Everybody, including Nadal thought the match was over, but Robin challenged Nadal's shot and the point was overruled.
Here came the second rain interruption and few hours later they returned for the remaining of the tiebreak. Soderling won the next point to earn second setpoint, which he converted with an ace.
The next set was decided by a single break as Nadal's game was clearly not at its best at this point. He got broken to love midway through the set and then Soderling served it out with ease.
In the beginning of the final set there was a little controversy with Nadal failing to show the new balls, he was using to serve, but it was clear that he had lifted his game. He won the opening game to love and broke Robin to 15 in the next. At 30-30 in the third game Nadal was serving to consolidate the break, when the rain poured down again and the match was suspended for tomorrow.

Robin about Rafael Nadal's words:
"I just had to do it. All the players complains about how often u have to wait for him. Now he had to wait for me once, i probably waited for him 200 times, and he made fun of me. Even if it doesnt belong to tennis what i did i think he throws mountains in a glass house."

Personnally,I think Robin can win this match because he has a lucky star this year...
Please Robin stay very very calm even if it's difficult.

Aprčs la déroute de Roland Garros,Robin revient finalement pour un tournoi de préparation avant Wimbledon.Une bonne nouvelle aprčs ses douleurs au cou.

Le tableau est plutôt clément et c'est l'autrichien Koubek que Robin rencontra au premier tour.
Aprčs avoir perdu le premier set,il remporta la 2e manche notamment grace a son service.Puis enchaina au troisičme set pour finalement emporter le match sur le score de 5-7, 6-3, 7-5.

Mardi 12 Juin,Robin était présent ā la journée des joueurs allemands du tournoi de Halle,pour une séance d'autographe.

Aprčs un match décousu contre Koubek,RobinSderling n'a ps su se resaisir contre Marcos Baghdatis,plus en jambes et plus alerte.Le premier set tourne ā l'avantage de Robin dans le je malgré un jeu décisif acharné remporté 11 points ā 9.Le deuxičme set commence bien pour lui,il se détache 2-0 pour finalement laisser Baghdatis revenir aisément dans la partie afin de l'emporter 6-4.La troisičme manche n'est qu'une formalité quant ā la maîtrise du match pour le chypriote.Il l'emporte sur le score de 6/7-6/4-6/3.

En double,l'allemand Kohlschreiber et Robin ont perdu leur match contre Damm et Paes sur le score de 7/6(10 points a 8)-6/7 6/3

The grass season this year for Robin will consist of two tournaments. And the first one is the traditional Gerry Weber Open in Halle.
In the opener he had to dig deep against the Austrian Stefan Koubek. The opening set was going game for game and Robin didn't face a breakpoint right untill the last game. He lost serve at 5-5 and Koubek served the set out.
But the Swede's serve was working well and it was a matter of time for him to get back in the match. He did this with a good second set, breaking twice, to have serving advantage in the final set. And it proved handy. After he saved five breakpoints in the beginning of the set, he levelled the game again and broke right when he needed to - when Koubek was serving to stay in the match.

On Tuesday 12th June,Robin was present for the German players' day.

For his second match on Halle's courts,Robin Soderling was going the opposite direction. He went through the opening set without having many chances, but did well in the tiebreak to finally win it on his fourth setpoint. And it looked as he had Baghdatis, as he broke right at the start of the second set. But just to be broken back for 3-3 and then again at the end of the set.
And in the final set he started as in the previous - with a break and a 2-0 lead. Just to be broken back and then immediately again to trail 2-4. After for the Cypriot it was just a matter of serving the match out, which he promptly did.

Premiären på gräs gick betydligt bättre än säsongsavslutningen på grus för tennisspelaren Robin Söderling. Den 22-årige svensken slog österrikaren Stefan Koubek i första omgången av Halles ATP-turnering med 5-7, 6-3, 7-5.
Söderling bröt härom veckan Franska mästerskapen redan i första omgången på grund av smärtor i nacken. På måndagen var han tillbaka på banan i sin första gräsmatch för säsongen, i Tysklands uppvärmningsturnering inför Wimbledon.

Förlust för Söderling
Svagt servande fällde Robin Söderling i andra omgången av ATP-turneringen i tyska Halle. Svensken förlorade mot förra årets Wimbledon-semifinalist, cyprioten Marcos Baghdatis, med 1-2 i set, 7-6 (11-9), 4-6, 3-6.
Söderling gjorde fem dubbelfel, bland annat på setbollen i andra set samt ett till när Baghdatis bröt fram till 4-2 i avgörande set. Nästa turnering för Söderling blir nu Wimbledon, som inleds den 25 juni.

Ayant contracté une blessure au coup en Allemagne lors du tournoi de Dusseldorf,Robin Soderling n'a montré que le 1/10 de l'étendue de son jeu ā Paris ā Roland Garros.

Aprčs le match,il m'a confié que se blessure lui faisait vraiment trčs mal et qu'il n'est pour cela męme pas sûr non seulement de participer aux tournois de préparation sur gazon mai également au troisičme grand Chelem de l'année,en l'occurence Wimbledon qui se déroule du 21 Juin au 10 Juillet 2007.

Du nouveau dans quelques jours...

It's in Germany that Robin contracted his injury at his neck during the tournament of Dusseldorf.So,in Paris Robin showed a livid face loosing vs Montanes at the first round.

It's precised that Robin shouldn't play the grass tournaments to prepare Wimbledon and perhaps will not be at Wimbledon(June 21th-July 10th).But nothing is sure and Robin will take a little rest before a eventual participation at Wimbledon.
